Diversity & inclusion
IMB is an equal opportunity employer that values the diversity of its employees, whether it be their gender, ethnic origin, religion, age or sexual orientation. At IMB, we want everyone to feel included in our international and diverse community. To ensure that our researchers and employees feel well-integrated and appreciated for who they are, IMB has instituted a Diversity & Inclusion Committee to develop and implement diversity standards that promote an inclusive culture and equity in the workplace.
In 2023 IMB implemented a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) to transform organisational structure, processes and cultures within the institute to contest and reduce gender imbalances and inequalities. The GEP is defined as "a set of commitments and actions that aim to promote gender equality in an organisation through a process of structural change" (Horizon Europe, the European Commission).
IMB has a strict Policy against Sexual Discrimination, Harassment & Violence. IMB does not allow for prejudice or discrimination of any kind, whether it be based on ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, family situation, world-view, disability or age. IMB does not allow discrimination of any kind to affect an individual’s chances of acceptance, qualification or promotion, and expressly forbids sexual misconduct.
