Three DFG-funded, joint research and training consortia are coordinated at IMB: the 4R Research Training Group on “R-loop Regulation in Robustness & Resilience”, the Research Training Group GenEvo on “Gene Regulation in Evolution” (co-coordinated with JGU Mainz) and the Collaborative Research Center 1361 on “Regulation of DNA Repair & Genome Stability”. These initiatives forge links within the scientific community and provide funding for research projects and personnel, networking activities, and training in professional skills.

Our programme coordinators collaborate closely with other offices within the Scientific Management team to ensure that these initiatives run smoothly. This includes:

• organising activities such as scientific seminars, networking events and training courses
• administration, including managing the programme’s finances, compiling reports and preparing the annual assembly and steering committee meetings
• public relations and maintaining the programme’s websites
• supporting all members of the programme
