About us
The Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH (IMB) is a Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation and located on the campus of Mainz University, Germany. IMB focuses on basic research in the life sciences, ranging from epigenetics, DNA repair & genome stability to developmental biology, biophysics, and bioinformatics. The IMB Core Facilities (www.imb.de/core-facilities) are looking for an experienced and reliable student to assist with animal caretaking on the weekends.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Monitor and document animal health of mice, zebrafish and frogs
- Feed animals
- Work Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (3.5 hours per week)
Requirements
- Completed FELASA training OR willingness to attend a FELASA Function C & D course (3 days) at the Translational Animal Research Center (TARC) in Mainz
- Good communication skills
- Independence and responsibility
